We'd describe the music as hip hop/neo funk. It's combination of a live band, with drums that give it an urban punch, strong hooks, scratches, bottom heavy grooves and lyrics that embody the world view that comes from growing up in the Berkeley/Bay Area. We classify it as Indie hip hop, but there are also hardcore tracks as well. Nothing gangster, cause our people aren't that. It's hard in the sense of delivery, angst, frustration. There is a real fresh sound emerging from this album.
